We are having a great time practising and refining our basketball skills. We hope that lots of you can make it to our outcome on Thursday 22nd at 1:15 to watch our learners demonstrate key basketball skills and go head to head in a basketball tournament. They will also be cheering each other on with some witty and eye-catching cheerleading displays!
In maths, we will continue to look at and create accurate bar charts using different scales, by analysing collected and given data and producing bar charts based on the information received.
In English, we will be writing biographies about famous basketball players and presenting our instructional writing beautifully, so that it is easy on the eye and clear to read.
We will also be playing lots and lots of basketball and learning and developing new skills. We will be competing in some competitive games and ensuring that we are clear on the basketball rules.
To help your child at home, you could;
Practise times tables (!)
Research basketball teams, their logos and chants/cheers with your child.
Create bar charts of your families’ favourite foods, films using different types of scales on your bar graphs.
Hope you all had a lovely half term, we look forward to seeing you all on Thursday, cheering loudly, pompoms and all!
